The Port of Altagracia is located on the Island of Ometepe, in the municipality of the department of Rivas, at 53 kms - or 4 hours travelling by boat - to the south east of the Port of Granada, and north east of the Port of Moyogalpa  It takes approximately 50 minutes to travel by road to Moyogalpa, at a distance of 36 kilometers. It is the second most important port of the Island of Ometepe, and its geographic coordinates are latitude 11 º 32` North and longitude 85 º 34 ' west.

PORT INSTALLATIONS AND FACILITIES

The port has a marginal quay build with rock and cement  (511,84 Mts ²) formed by concrete boxes reinforced with steel bars.  Only one of three berths is being used due to the low water levels of the lake during the dry season. Depth ranges between 3,34 Mts. and 5,02 Mts.
In this Port the cargo is handled directly and manually since it doesn´t have any type of cargo handling equipment.  A distance of 2 kilometers separates the port from the city of Altagracia.
