The Port of Morrito is located on the northern coast of the Lake of Nicaragua, in the Municipality of Morrito, Río  San Juan, at longitude  85*05' west and latitude 11*35 ' north.
At a distance of 230km of the capital Managua, Puerto Morrito is located in the proximity of beautiful islands like the Island San Bernardo.  There is also the Rio Oyate, a river that is home to a variety of wild animals like birds, butterflies and  monkeys.

The port has a concrete pier built on gabions. The Port offers its services to both cargo and passengers.  The boats that arrive at the port often transfer construction equipments and cargo containing products of the main economic activities of the region like agriculture, cattle ranching and fishing.
