The port of Moyogalpa is located on the North-Western Coast of the Island of Ometepe, and is the most important port on the Island. It is located at 17 km. of the Port of San Jorge.
Port of Moyogalpa offers services to cargo and passengers, and its activities have increased in recent years with the tourist development of the Island.
PORT INSTALLATIONS AND FACILITIES
The Port has a 250 m2 concrete wharf, and also a 120 mts. long access built with stones. Cargo arriving at the Island is loaded or unloaded directly from quay to ship and vice versa. There is no cargo handling equipment of any type. The port terminal has a roofed warehouse for the storage of general cargo.
